Oshkosh 2023 Flight Summary

Here is a summary of our total flight from Bend (KBDN), Oregon out to Wittman Regional Airport (KOSH).  The hours mentioned here were measured by the hobbs meter in my plane.

The flight out to KOSH took 16.6 hours, 127.32 gallons of 100LL fuel and 3 quarts of X/C 20-50 oil.  We had a tailwind almost the whole way.  The airports we stopped at on the way out were:
KJER – Jerome, Idaho
KEVW – Evanston, Wyoming
KRKS – Rock Springs, Wyoming
KGRN – Gordon, Nebraska
KYKN – Yankton, South Dakota
KFOD – Fort Dodge, Iowa
KOSH – Oshkosh, Wisconsin

The flight back home to KBDN took 19.1 hours, 125.53 gallons of 100LL fuel and 4 quarts of X/C 20-50 oil.  We had a headwind almost the whole way.  I used less fuel on this flight because in the last 2.5 hours I was only flying at 65% power, while almost all the rest of the flight out and back was around 80%.  The airports we stopped at on the way home were:
KISW – Wisconsin Rapids, Wisconsin
KLSE – La Crosse, Wisconsin

KMDS – Madison, South Dakota
D07 – Faith, South Dakota
